"I got this tattoo a couple days before my wedding. My boyfriend, at the time, wrote me a hand-written note on our anniversary that said ‘You have my heart.’. The first time he ever saw this tattoo was when I met him at the alter. The look on his face will never leave my mind."

Damn son our uterus stretches like 5x the size and then contracts and pushes a 7 pound baby out of a small tube into life if you think that isn’t metal as fuck get out of my face

YOUR ORGANS THOUGH IM SO SORRY LADIES

How the hell do woman survive this?

Seriously it surprises me how many people don’t know a couple things about pregnancy and babies:
women would not survive 10 months of pregnancy they would die
A baby is nowhere near as developed as it should be to be out in the world at 9 months, but the human body has not evolved to push anything past the size of the head out, everything else the baby is can stretch and squash but the head
the vagina can’t handle anything bigger than the head at 9 months of development so we have to give birth.
But babies actually need longer than that, really, it’s why they’re such a mess when they’re born and why they’re completely dependent on care, can’t walk, can’t do anything.  Note most other animals can when they are born.  Babies are born too early, it’s kind of a huge and secret flaw in human evolution.  I found it really interesting, so thought I’d share.

It’s to do with a combination of walking upright and big brains! Hips designed for upright walking are not the best hips to give birth with, and it gets worse the bigger your baby’s head is. Evolution’s had to compromise, meaning that babies have had to be born earlier as human brain size has increased. And that meant that human babies are more dependent on their mother (or any adult for that matter) for survival than other apes for longer, which increased human sociality and capacity for learning…

Pregnancy is actually ten months….
But apart from that you’re right haha.
Knowing that I was metal enough to grow and then birth a human being has actually kept me motivated through so much shit you don’t even understand
"I’m so tired and I can’t do this anymore ""Remember when your organs got squished up in your ribcage tho and then you sustained life by yourself for ten months from your own bloodstream and grew an extra organ and then shoved that and a 9-lb (essentially) parasite out of your body?"
"Oh yea"

^I’m pretty sure pregnancy is 40 weeks, 9 months, not 10. If a women goes past 40 weeks, that’s not good. i dont know where you’ve gotten your info from but bro your so off.
